NOLATech Week will also host the inaugural ‘NOLATech Week Digital Day’ on October 15th, 2016, which will take place at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, The day will focus on exposing our city’s youth to a variety of interactive technologies and programming. The day will include various technological demonstrations and workshops from over 30 local STEM related organizations and educational institutions. Additionally, for the first time ever, Facebook will also be in attendance. The social media company will be onsite in the Rivergate Room presenting TechPrep at 10:00 am and again at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
TechPrep is an online resource to teach parents, guardians and anyone who wants to learn about computer science and programming. Anyone interested in learning more can join the session, meet Facebook staff, participate with interactive coding demos and learn where to find tools to get started with computer programming.
